The house is situated on the slope of the hill and offers magnificent views over the Lake of Carcès and surrounding hills. It is part of the tiny Village du Lac de Carcès, with only a few houses scattered over the hill, and surrounded by pine woods.
The house and its terraced garden are set on 750²m of private land in quiet, secluded location.

The freshwater lake (Lac de Carcès) provides clean water for the town of Toulon. Although swimming is not allowed*, the lake is famous for pike, crayfish and trout fishing**. This unspoiled and truly breathtaking part of Green Provence has been declared preservation area, which means that no more building (industrial in particular) is allowed in the area. This zero-pollution approach has resulted in exceptional air quality.

*There is another small lake nearby where swimming is permitted.
**Licence is required to fish in the lake. It can be bought in person from the local Mairie (details on enquiry).
